“Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy (ESS): Theory and Practice”

Explore the underlying principles that make up environmental sequence stratigraphy (ESS) and its growing role in the development of conceptual site models for contaminated sites. Emphasis will be placed on exploring the applicability of ESS principles to a variety of depositional systems.

Dan Walker, PhD (EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc) - Dr. Walker has 30 years of policy, research, technical, and project management experience in the environmental and energy industries serving a variety of federal, state, and commercial agencies and clients. He has been the technical lead, project manager, or team member on a variety of environmental and natural resource development projects related to climate adaptation, hazard mitigation, coastal water quality, coastal response to sea-level rise, oil and gas development, oil spill response, radioactive waste management, and the establishment of climate resilient engineering standards of practice.
